ToolROI is a small, independent site that helps freelancers and solopreneurs answer one question: is this AI tool actually worth the subscription?

Our flagship is the AI tool ROI calculator — a free, in-your-browser calculator that turns your hourly rate and hours saved into real dollar savings, so you can compare tools by true monthly cost instead of marketing copy. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.

How our comparisons work

• Published data only. Pricing, feature lists, and plan limits come from the vendors' official pages and are checked at publication time. We state when each figure was verified.
• Public community signal. When we describe what users actually think, we cite real public sources — published reviews, named Reddit threads — with links. We never invent quotes, threads, or review scores.
• No fabricated testing. We do not run fake "we tested 12 tools" claims. If we haven't hands-on tested something, we say so, and our comparisons are built on specs and cited feedback instead.
• Commissions never move rankings. Our comparisons are written the same way whether or not an affiliate relationship exists.

How we make money

Currently: nothing. As of September 2026, ToolROI has no affiliate relationships and earns zero commission. When we join affiliate programs, the relevant links will be marked and every affected page will carry a clear disclosure — see our affiliate disclosure for the full policy.

What we don't do

• No personalized financial, tax, legal, or business advice — our calculator is an arithmetic aid for your own numbers, not a recommendation.
